The firm will work as an extension of Metra staff to provide program administration services, stakeholder coordination, track design, retaining wall design and environmental engineering for the project.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), as a member of the CREATE partnership, is pleased to promote the upcoming CREATE Program’s Request for Proposals to provide an ongoing relationship with a qualified vendor that will develop, deploy and support a fully redesigned, modern, advocacy-focused website that meets the needs of multiple external audiences as well as existing internal stakeholders. The vendor will also provide ongoing technical and content support, answer technical questions, provide general best practice guidance, write content and recommend/develop new site enhancements as needed. In conjunction with this redesign, the CREATE partners also look for recommendations on an integrated communications strategy and social media management support.

The Chief Procurement Officer has authorized the Agency to proceed with the AASHTO Memberships and Subscriptions Services Contract.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is giving notice of the intent to enter into a sole source contract with American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for Technical Service Programs (TSP’s) for Bridge Design Rating, Rail Resource Center, Census Transportation Planning, AASHTO Material Standards, etc.  The AASHTO Technical Service Programs are an integral part of ensuring that IDOT’s staff has access to the training, resources, and standards that they need to effectively carry out their jobs.  Participating in the TSP’s also provides IDOT with the opportunity to learn about and implement state of practice procedures and to help shape the future of transportation in Illinois and the nation.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is giving notice of the intent to enter into a sole source contract with Sidewalk Labs, Inc. for an analysis tool (Replica) which uses a number of sources, including mobile carrier data, location data from third-party aggregators and Google location data, to generate travel data for a region. The use of these various data sources provides a large and diverse sample of travel data for agencies to work with. Having this large sample to draw from helps remove bias in the data collected and the data sample is not limited to only Android devices. Additionally, these data are collected from individuals for months at a time, allowing for a complete picture of individual travel patterns. Household travel surveys, which traditionally serve as the best source of data for the travel patterns of a region’s residents, are generally only able to collect data from a small sample of households for one or two travel days
