DOES IDOT INTEND FOR THE POSTS THAT TRAVEL ACROSS THE OUTLET TO BE CORED, WHICH WOULD AFFECT THE DRAINAGE OF THE OUTLET? IF YES, PLEASE PROVIDE AS-BUILT INFORMATION AS TO THE DEPTH OF THE OUTLET SO APPROPRIATE CORING CAN BE PROVIDED.

GEN NOTE STATES “CONTRACTOR WILL BE REPONSIBLE OF POTHOLING ANY UTILITIES POTENTIALLY IN CONFLICT”…“AT NO COST TO THE STATE”, WHICH AFFECTS ALL WORK. INCIDENTAL POTHOLING OF UNKNOWN QUANTITIES TO UNKNOWN DEPTHS CREATES AN UNQUANTIFIED TREMENDOUSLY EXPENSIVE INCIDENTAL ITEM, GIVEN THAT EB IL 98 GUARDRAIL QTYS THAT ARE POTENTIALLY AFFECTED RANGE FROM 2000 TO 3000 LF.
