Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57)

Instead of using I.A.T (FRN) can a NON-RN be used for line item 706002690? D6 is the only district that still uses FRN on bridge painting contracts.

The use of a NON-RN will not be allowed for use for the impact attenuator pay item. The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (04/05/2024)
On Page 1 on the Special Provisions, under Location and Description of Project, it states "shall consist of painting portions of SN 085-0029." I see no further clarification anywhere in the SPs or Plans as to what these portions are to be. Please clarify the portions to be prepped and painted.

The special provision, Structure Description, details the areas of the structure that clarifies the portions of the bridge that are to be cleaned and painted. (04/01/2024)
