Temporary Shoring and Cribbing specifications refer us to the plans for "Dead Load Reaction Table" in the drawings in order to submit details and calculations. We do not see this information in the drawings. Please advise

Interior existing girder reactions are 49.3 kips for dead load, 39.1 kips for live load, 9.5 kips for impact. Exterior existing girder reactions are 47.2 kips for dead load, 26.2 kips for live load, 6.3 kips for impact. (11/01/2024)
Do structures that need adjustment need to be cleaned as well?

Yes, they have to be cleaned as outlined in the corresponding Special Provision. See Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction Section 602.15 Cleaning for details. (10/31/2024)
Would it be acceptable to prepare the bridge fence rail for powder coating by using an abrasive blast rather than the steps called out in the special provisions (pages 77 through 79)? The 2 year warranty would still be in effect.

An abrasive blast would neglect the effects of galvanization of the railing and lead to rust of the railing over time with water exposure if the paint were to chip off. Contractor should follow the steps outlined in the original contract documents (10/29/2024)
