Scope of work consists of reconstruction of the northeast wingwall at US 20 (Lake St) over I-290, pavement patching, removing and re-erecting the existing guardrail terminal, maintenance of traffic, and pavement markings. Improvement is located in the City of Elmhurst in DuPage County. Gross Length= 2628 FT (0.5 Miles); Net Length= 12 FT (0.002 Miles).

  • Plan sheet 11 and plan sheet 14 illustrate the guardrail scope of work, which appears to be limited to the bridge approach and NE wing wall. The existing guardrail extends from about station 109+50 to past 114+00 LT, which coincides with the proposed quantity of 400’. What is the proposed shoulder work that would require 400’ of guardrail to be removed? Please advise on start and stop stations of the RR guardrail.
    The Department is in the process of issuing an addendum, please monitor the website for the addendum. (09/12/2024)

  • How are the covered downward arrows on the overheads paid for on plan page 10? What is pay item X7200061 used for there is no special provision provided in the contract?
    The covering for the downward arrows on the overhead signs are paid for using this temporary information signing spec, which is included in the posted Special Provisions on page 12. (09/09/2024)
