  • Plan sheet 24 calls for both ends of the bridge to be painted and for all interior steel surfaces to be painted gray, Munsell No.5B 7/1. The exterior and bottom flange of the fascia beams shall be Reddish Brown, Munsell No. 2.5YR 3/4. Both using Inorganic paint system. The bridge spec calls for using Organic Zinc-Rich/Epoxy/Urethane system according to Article 506.08(b). Please confirm the bridge finish and the painting spec to be used. Thank you.
    The paint system specified in the selected GBSP 33 governs over the referenced plan note. The color of the final finish coat shall be Reddish Brown, Munsell No. 2.5YR 3/4. (10/29/2025)

  • The boardwalk specs call for all sawn lumber to be southern yellow pine. Request the railing and rail post be SYP MCA treated and the backing plank, stringers, decking and pier caps all be #1 grade West Coast Douglas Fir Treated with Copper Naphthenate to UC4C consistent with the Great Western Trail Extension Segment 1. Thank you.

  • page 14 of the spec suggests that all work for the boardwalk will be performed from the deck level. and that all foot traffic must remain within 6' of the boardwalk. are we not allowed to bring a crane in to set the pedestrian bridge and drive the piles for both the bridge and the boardwalk?
