  • Will any of the approx. 200 cyds of sand for the "borrow excavation" to bring the site up 6 feet need to be contractor provided? If so, do you have a quantity?
    Borrow excavation shall be provided by the contractor using offsite borrow material for the construction of AWOS foundation embankment as noted in Section 152-1.1. Please note that there is no reference to sand as borrow excavation material in the plans or special provisions. Approximately 300 cubic yards of borrow excavation will be needed. As indicated in the plans (please refer to Proposed Improvements – 1 (Sheet 6), AWOS Notes 5), borrow excavation to raise existing ground to new ground elevation shall be incidental to AR152411 Unclassified Excavation.
