The plans show the concrete revetment mat is to be installed to the face of the concrete pavement and toe wall. It also shows that the guardrail is to remain in place beyond the proposed pavement. From a constructability standpoint, the revetment mat will need to be cut in multiple locations to fit around the existing guardrail without removing it. This will cause grout to flow freely without proper containment from a solid mat. Please explain how this mat should be installed per plans?

The guardrail will be removed and re-erected to allow for the mat to be installed properly. An addendum will be issued to address this. Please continue to monitor the website for an update. (06/04/2024)
