| Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57) |

Please Identify the limts of steel cleaning and Metallizing.
Is the intent to clean and Metalize all steel entire bridge?
The Department is in the process of issuing an addendum, please monitor the website for the addendum. (06/07/2023)

Please clarify intended scope. There is no Clean and Paint Pay Item. There is a "Field Thermal Spraying Metallizing" Pay item. Per general Notes no.3 on plan page 2. You've listed system 1 of the "Clean and Paint" specification. Is the intention to Clean and Paint or Clean and Metallize?
The intention for this contract is to clean and metallize. (05/25/2023)
