Based on the removal area, it appears the quantity of Hot Mix Asphalt is calculated at an average thickness of greater than 8". The schedule on plan p. 4 show the project designed at 6" and 8", meaning there is a significant overage in quantity. Is the additional material planned for any incidental work not listed on the schedule?
The additional Hot-Mix Asphalt material is not planned for incidental work. Additional material was included due to anticipated dimensional inconsistencies that may be encountered over the length of the project. (04/13/2026)
