  • Will the quantities for HMA Surface Course change due to the change from 4" to 2"?
An addendum will be issued. (04/10/2025)

  • Plan sheet 3 shows proposed 4" hma sc, il-9.5, mix "c", n50 in the Typical Section. Plan sheet 6 calls out 2" hma surface (typ). Please clarify the proposed thickness of the proposed pavement section.
The 4" of proposed HMA depth shown on sheet 3 of the plans is in error. The correct depth is 2". (04/08/2025)

  • Plan sheet 7 top left of the page "Existing Structure" "99'-0" Back to Back of abuts, 52'-11" out to out of deck". Field measurements indicate the deck is 26ft wide, is that dimension correct? Can the existing plans be made available to the contractor?
Existing plans call the full width of the bridge as 28’-4”. Please ignore the width listed on Sheet 7 as it is shown incorrectly. The existing length of the bridge is correct. Existing plans are available from the Lee County Highway Department upon request. (04/04/2025)

  • Plan sheet 12 top middle page "Typical Post-Tensioned Trans Tie Rod Assbl" (1 1/4" dia x 40'-6 1/2" Rods), the bridge is 28 ft wide can the length be confirmed.

  • Sheet 7 of the plans does not indicate that the SM rail is mitered at each end which is typical when curled ends are used. Will the rail be mitered at each end?
The end of the SM rails was incorrectly shown on the drawings. The ends should be mitered down to accept the curled end sections. An addendum will be issued to correct the drawings for the SM rail. (04/04/2025)

  • Can the existing bridge plans be made available?
Existing bridge plans are available from the Lee County Highway Department upon request. (04/04/2025)

  • The four curled end sections shown on sheet 3 of the plans are not designed to attach to the Type SM Railing as detailed in the plans. Are the curled ends for supply only, or will turn down ends need to be added to the Type SM Rail design?
The end of the SM rails was incorrectly shown on the drawings. The ends should be mitered down to accept the curled end sections. An addendum will be issued to correct the drawings for the SM rail. (04/04/2025)
