  • Please confirm that the proposed guardrail (posts) will be installed through an aggregate or dirt surface, without the need to core drill.
    As defined in Article 101.09 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, the bidder shall inspect in detail the site of the proposed work and investigate and become familiar with all the local conditions affecting the contract and the detailed requirements for construction. The contractor should bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (04/16/2025)

  • Will the use of trimline (42" grabber cones), be allowed for use on this project at night? If so what is the spacing to be?
    They are allowed at night if the standard allows them and if the contractor is working at night and workers are there to maintain them. Spacing is according to the standard, the same as any other cone. (04/14/2025)

  • There is not a guardrail schedule on the plans. Will there be an addendum that provided one.
    An addendum will be issued to address this question. Please continue to monitor the website for an update. (04/08/2025)

  • IDOT's website shows this project to have a a 6% DBE goal. The special provisions show to be 0%. Which is correct?
    The DBE goal for this contract is 0%. The website will be updated to show the correct goal. (04/04/2025)
