  • Can the existing pavement be recycled and used as part of the 24" Oversized Aggregate base?
    Please refer to Addendum A, which will address this question with a special provision revision. (04/16/2025)

  • If the existing pavement cannot be used as part of the oversized aggregate, can it be put in the stockpile?
    The stockpile is intended to be for earth material, not removed pavement. Per the 2023 Standard Specifications for Construction of Airports, Item 101, “Material obtained from removal operations shall be hauled to a disposal site off of airport property by the Contractor.” (04/16/2025)

  • The Unclassified Excavation quantity appears to include the existing pavement volume. Please confirm this is correct. If correct, can the existing pavement be stockpiled on site along with excess dirt.
    Existing pavement volume is not included within the Unclassified Excavation quantity. (04/10/2025)
