  • Continuation of last question. The plans and pay items in the contract differ in that one is for articulated concrete block revetment mat 1,631 Sy (pay items and plan sheet 30) and the other is for fabric formed concrete revetment 6,500 SF (plan sheet 172). Can you please provide direction on how we are to bid this or correct the pay items.

  • 28500400 Articulated Concrete Block Revetment Mat QTY 1631 SY is shown in the pay items an on the schedules. Sheet 30 of the plans has a schedule for this item of work from station 13+34 to 13+85 and it references a cattle crossing. Sheet 172 shows "proposed fabric formed concrete revetment 50'Wx130'L (to be used for cattle crossing) Articulated block revetment mat and fabric formed concrete revetment mat are two different things. Also 50x130 = 6500 SF / 9 = 722.22 SY.

  • While there are several specialty items on this project, it appears as though some items that are commonly listed as specialty may have been missed.   • I'm unable to locate the 1631 SY of Articulated Concrete Block in the plans, and there doesn't appear to be anything in the specification for it. The only somewhat similar item I've found was 6500 SF of fabric formed revetment.
    The location of the articulated block revetment mat can be found in the schedules and the corresponding plan and profile sheet for the location specified. The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (01/03/2024)
