  • The special provisions say "Milled pavement shall be resurfaced before opening the road to traffic." The general notes say "once surface is milled the engineer will determine if a (Class B) patch is required." Those statements are not very compatible. What is the intent?
    The original intent was not to do full depth patches, but if some came up that had to be addressed, this gives the RE that option. If a patch is determined the closure will just have to remain until it is resolved. Patch depth can be leveled at mill height and then resurfaced all together before reopening to traffic.
