  • Per sheet 10 "Proposed Typical Section Trail Pavement" the proposed 3" of N30 Surface is to be placed in 1 Lift. SOQ sheets 14-17 reference Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat) being called out at these locations as well as Tack Coat being called out in the Special Provision for N30 Surface. Since this will be installed in 1 lift where will the Tack Coat be placed? Should this be Bituminous Materials (Prime Coat) instead?
    Sheet 10 of the plans is correct showing the HMA Surface Course on the various trails is to be placed in one lift. Tack Coat was selected for the single lift of HMA on the various trails because the existing surface is bituminous based. Possible changes to the material or application rate will be discussed with the awarded contractor at the preconstruction meeting. (06/03/2025)
