  • Will the Stabilized Construction Entrances need to be removed in this contract?
    Stabilized construction entrances will remain in place at the end of construction. Special Provision will be added as addendum. (07/23/2025)

  • What is the typical section for the Stabilized Construction Entrance?
    Stabilized construction entrance detail is included within SWPPP. (07/23/2025)

  • In reference to Addendum A, page 5 FURNISH EXCAVATION SPECIAL,5TH PARAGRAPH referring to the below the 4" from final grade will be constructed entirely of Aggregate lime. Is all the embankment below the proposed subgrade of the future pavement to be built with Aggregate lime? If yes will the sides need to be encapsulated with dirt?
    The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (07/18/2025)

  • Page 5 of Special provision under Furnish Excavation (Special) under Materials it refers to Furnish Excavation placed below 4" from final grade to be Aggregate Lime please explain what will be required? Application Rate? is it incorporated into what soil? Area to be incorporated into? Contract would be better served if this was added to the Landscaping Pay Items
    The Aggregate Lime is not a soil modification. An Addendum will be issued to further clarify that The FURNISHED EXCAVATION (SPECIAL) placed below 4” from the final graded surface shall be constructed entirely of aggregate lime. (07/10/2025)

  • Can Stockpiled Topsoil be used for the top 4" of vegetation sustaining material as call for in special provision?
    Stockpiled topsoil cannot be used for FURNISHED EXCAVATION (SPECIAL). An addendum will be issued to further clarify that all the material for FURNISHED EXCAVATION (SPECIAL) shall be furnished. (07/10/2025)

  • Notes on plans state Tree Removal to be done after October 1 yet completion date is October 17th????
    The COMMITMENTS Note #1 provides a tree removal restriction window. Contractor must have all work completed by COMPLETION DATE. Contractor must comply with both restrictions. (07/10/2025)

  • For pay Item 5421D024/5422D048 Pipe Culvert CL D TY 1/TY2 24"/48" (Temporary) Special Provisions states Contractor to deliver pipe to State storage yard. wont the removal of Temporary Pipe and delivery of pipe be completed under a future contract and not a part of this contract?
    Pipe culvert (temporary) will be removed in a future contract. An addendum will be issued to correct this special provision. (07/10/2025)
