  • In reviewing this job, the HMA Shoulders, PCC Surf Rem 1/4", and Bituminous Materials Tack Coat Pay Items where figured with all the existing shoulders being 8' in width. The existing shoulders in the 2 lane area are 4' wide on each side. The existing shoulders in the 4 lane area are 8' wide on driving lane side and 4' on passing lane side and get a little wider at the guardrail locations. This significantly reduces the quantity of these 3 items. Can you please clarify?

  • The Summary of quantities has 500 tons of Incidental HMA Surfacing on page 3. Usually there is a schedule of quantities listing the locations, sizes, and tons per location. There is none and no plan sheet showing the depth of the HMA and the details. Can you please clarify?

  • On Page 2 of the HMA Mixture Table shows N50 for the Class D Patches. The mix you are putting over the patches is a N70. Should the patch mix be a N70 mix?
    No, the proposed mix of N50 for Class D Patches is correct. (01/28/2026)

  • Note 4 under the General notes on page 2 of the plans states no vibratory rollers will be permitted on this project. Generally this not is for in town work. This work is out of town. Is this note still what you want?
    Yes, we can confirm that we do not want vibratory rollers used for this project. The reasoning behind this decision relates to the poor condition of the road, rather than the project being located within city limits. (01/28/2026)
