  • The IL 162 Typical Section from Station 545+74.73 to 547+25.02 LT indicates a B-6.18 curb. However, Plan Sheet 26 specifies a B-6.12 curb for this location, as well as within the median. Could you please clarify which curb type is to be installed in this area?
The callout on Sheet 26 at approximate Station 546+50 incorrectly labels the westbound outside curb and gutter as a Type B-6.12. The outside curb and gutter is a Type B-6.18, as shown in the typical sections for that area of the project. (02/17/2026)

  • On the earth excavation schedule, the Non Special Waste Disposal columns contain a total of 1182 cy. Is this 1182 cy the quantity of material in 669.05 a(5) areas that will be hauled off to the landfill? Are the topsoil removal and cut quantities accounted for in the earth excavation and topsoil excavation quantities on the same schedule? Is the non special waste quantity been deducted from the shrunk material available for embankment?
Q: On the earth excavation schedule, the Non Special Waste Disposal columns contain a total of 1182 cy. Is this 1182 cy the quantity of material in 669.05 a(5) areas that will be hauled off to the landfill? A: See the specifications and provisions for processing this Pay Item. Q: Are the topsoil removal and cut quantities accounted for in the earth excavation and topsoil excavation quantities on the same schedule? Is the non special waste quantity been deducted from the shrunk material available for embankment? A: “Topsoil Removal” and “Cut” of the “Earthwork Schedule”, refer to work associated with the NON-SPECIAL WASTE DISPOSAL work only. The work associated with the NON-SPECIAL WASTE DISPOSAL occurs before other earthwork, during construction, thus, any calculated “TOPSOIL EXCAVATION” and “EARTH EXCAVATION” of the Schedule does not include the NON-SPECIAL WASTE DISPOSAL work that occurs prior. (02/17/2026)

  • The earth excavation schedule lists 2390 as the required furnished excavation from offsite, but the plan quantity of furnished excavation is 4262 cy. Can you explain how the furnished excavation is calculated for the plan quantity?
The SOQ quantity of 4,262 cy represents the addition of Columns 7 and 9 from the Schedule. Please refer to the Earthwork Schedule notes. (02/17/2026)

  • The status of utilities provided in the Special Provisions list status dates from January 2024 to March of 2025. Can an updated status of utilities be provided to include any relocations that have already been performed or when they may be performed?
Utility relocations pending ROW acquisition for relocation. (02/17/2026)

  • On Sheet 39 of the Removal & Storm Sewer Work, I don't see the 9.7' of SS A 1 12" accounted for and additionally, the PRC7 12" FES is not accounted for in the Schedule. There is a PRC 7 on Sheet 38 but it is called out as Prec FES 24". Could you please clarify?
An addendum will be issued to address this question. Please continue to monitor the website for an update. (02/05/2026)

  • Sheet 2 of the Plans, under General Notes it says to use only 1" X 18" Epoxy Dowels on the Transverse Joints. The normal IDOT Jointing Standard calls for 1-1/4" X 18" Dowels for 9" Pavement. Can you clarify the dowel bar diameter that you want for this project?
The 1” dowel diameter prescribed by the General Notes represents the dowel diameter to be utilized for this project. The t/2 from center of dowel to bottom of pavement shall be 4”. (02/05/2026)
