  • Question #1 The post spacing for the SM bridge rail is over the 6'-3" max spacing(R-34 Base Sheet). Please review. Question #2 Plan sheet 21 calls for a mandatory rail splice at the abutments. Is this needed since the approach slab expansion is on the roadway end vs the abutment end? Please advise.
